AYUSH COURSES AND THEIR ELIGIBILITY

AYUSH refers to Ayurveda, Unani, Siddha, and Homeopathy. AYUSH courses in India have come into the light in the past decade. Many students had been searching for the choices to practice medicine. Now a lot of students have started taking interest in pursuing this field.

Eligibility Criteria for getting Admission in UG Ayush Courses:
For admissions to the undergrad programs in AYUSH, the candidates should meet the AYUSH
UG qualification models for the NEET (National Eligibility humor Entrance Test). In addition to this, different colleges have their own set of criteria for the candidates. Therefore, the applicants have to go through the website of the colleges where they want to take admission. According to
the eligibility criteria, one should qualify the qualification models 2020 before applying for any AYUSH program. The required fields must be fulfilled by all of the candidates for admission.
1. The age of the applicant must be at least 17 years as on December 31st of the applying year.
2. The applicant must have completed This includes Physics, Biology or Biotechnology, Chemistry, and English in classes 11 and 12.
3. The applicant ought to have cleared 10+2 CBSE board assessments or studied equivalent core subjects in the surge of science that includes Physics, Chemistry,
Biology/Biotechnology, and English from any other recognized state board.
4. The qualifying aggregate score in Science for the unreserved applicants (General Category) is 50%.
5. The applicants who fall under SC/ST/OBC class, the qualifying score should be 40%.
6. It is needed to have a total base score of 45% for the PWD candidates.
7. Indian Nationals, NRIs, OCIs, or Foreign nationals can also apply for the AYUSH courses by clearing the NEET exam.
8. There is no limit of maximum number of attempts for appearing in the exam.

Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS)
This course is a combination of traditional Ayurvedic healing techniques with modern medicine.
The student gets an Ayurvedacharya degree on successfully completing this course.
Duration: 5.5 years
Fees: Rs 10,000 – Rs 1,00,000

Bachelor of Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery (BHMS)
In this course, the students are taught the homeopathic system of medical treatment. The process
involves knowledge dissipation of using the medicines with extremely diluted substances that
allow self-healing in the patient’s body.
Duration: 5.5 years
Fees: Rs 1,00,000 – Rs 3,00,000

Bachelor of Naturopathy and Yoga Sciences (BNYS)
The students are taught about both the aspects of traditional naturopathic medicine and modern medicine. Naturopathy is all about concentrating on the body's innate capability of self-healing.
These Medical Graduates are equivalent to MBBS medical graduates as a General Physician.
Duration: 5.5 years
Fees: Rs 7,000 – Rs 50,000

Bachelor of Siddha Medicine and Surgery (BSMS):
This course educates the students about the ancient AYUSH systems in India. The basic idea of the Siddha healing technique is that seven elements are in charge of the psychological and physiological functions of the human body. The imbalance among these elements gives birth to a disease.
Duration: 5.5 years
Fees: Rs 1,00,000 – Rs 3,00,000

Bachelor of Unani Medicine and Surgery (BUMS)
The Unani system is based on the four prime components fire, water, air, and earth. This method has been highly effective for different diseases.
Duration: 4.5 years (consists of 3 professional exams which are held at an interval of 18 months) + 1-year internship
Fees: Rs 10,000 – Rs 50,000.
